Great Mens Gifts Ideas
It should be easy to come up with a list of five great mens gift ideas for the man in your house. There is the tie, of course. Or a hand-made card from a child, lovingly scrawled and scribbled in orange crayon. You could promise to not bug him while the game is on (this will never happen, but it's the thought that counts). You could give him a "get out of jail free" card for the next time he's in trouble and isn't sure why. And you could give him the gift that keeps on giving to the whole family. Present him with a grill - he cooks, you eat, everybody's happy. (Just make sure you're up on your fire insurance, and everybody knows the number to 911.) See? That's five great gifts already.
One Word: Workbench. (Or is it two words: work bench?) Every guy wants a garage workbench, even the ones who don't know it yet. A workbench is very much a gift for him, but it gives to the whole family, just like the grill. It's the perfect place to do all of those "Dad" jobs that just seem to come up. Not only is Dad more easily able to do all of those jobs, he's more interested in doing them. He's going out to his workbench. He can get away from it all for a few minutes, happily puttering away. Meanwhile, everyone gets a little breathing room, during those times he's muttering under his breath. What does he always say when those jobs take a little longer than he thought? It should be easier than this? With a garage workbench, it is easier.
